We Added A New Work Truck For Roof Cleaning And House Washing

By Jeremiah Green | Green Pro Services of Kankakee | August 28, 2026

Green Pro Services just picked up another truck. It is a 2007 Toyota Tundra, and starting this season it goes into the rotation as a dedicated roof cleaning and house washing rig. Before it ever pulled a hose reel, we sent it out to get wrapped, and it came back looking better than we pictured.

Why We Bought It

More Trucks Means Faster Scheduling

Last season we ran into the same problem over and over. Somebody would call about black streaks on their roof, and the soonest we could get out there was ten or eleven days away. Not because the work takes that long, but because one truck can only be in one driveway at a time.

Adding this Tundra fixes that. It gives us a second setup that can run roof cleaning and house washing while our other truck handles gutters, concrete, and windows on the other side of the county. Same crew standards, same process, just less waiting for you.

We bought used on purpose. A 2007 Tundra with a solid frame and a healthy 5.7 is a workhorse, and we would rather put money into equipment, tanks, and training than into a payment on something brand new. That decision keeps our pricing where our neighbors can afford it.

Quick version: new truck for the fleet, wrapped by Fastlane Wraps, designed by Prolific Brand Design, and the rear window says WE WASH HOUSES.

The Design

Prolific Brand Design Built The Look

We handed the design side to Prolific Brand Design. They do branding for home service companies, so we did not have to explain what a soft wash is or why roof cleaning photos matter. They already got it.

What we asked for was simple. Keep the Green Pro colors. Make roof cleaning and house washing the message, since that is what this truck will be doing. Make it readable from a car doing 45 down Court Street. What came back kept our navy and green, used real clean roof imagery, and put the phone number and website where a driver can actually catch them.

  • Roof cleaning and house washing lead the design instead of a generic list of every service we offer
  • Big type on the doors and bed panels so the message reads at a glance
  • Phone number and trustgreenpro.com placed where they stay visible from behind and from the side
  • Colors matched to our logo, our shirts, and the rest of our branding

The Install

Fastlane Wraps Put It On

A great design still needs great installation. Vinyl on a 2007 truck is not the same as vinyl on a brand new van. There are body lines, older paint, door handles, and trim pieces that all decide whether a wrap looks factory or looks like a sticker.

Fastlane Wraps handled the install and the work speaks for itself. The seams line up, the vinyl wraps into the edges instead of stopping short, and the curves around the bed and fenders sit flat with no bubbles or lifting. Standing next to it, you would not guess the truck is a 2007.

The Rear Glass

WE WASH HOUSES

Our favorite part of the whole thing is the rear window. It is perforated vinyl printed with three words. WE WASH HOUSES.

Perforated window film is covered in tiny holes. From the outside you see the printed graphic. From the driver seat you still see out the back, because your eye follows the light coming through the holes instead of the ink. So we get a billboard on the glass without losing the rear view.

We went with three plain words on purpose. Nobody sitting at a red light is going to read a paragraph. They will read WE WASH HOUSES, and if their siding has green streaks on the north side, that is all the reminder they need.

What Comes Next

Getting The Truck Job Ready

The wrap was step one. Now comes the build out. This Tundra gets a soft wash setup in the bed so it can run roof cleaning and house washing without borrowing gear from the other truck.

  • Water tank and transfer pump sized for a full day of soft washing
  • Hose reel with enough line to reach a two story roof from the driveway
  • Downstream injection and a dedicated soft wash system for shingles and siding
  • Ladder rack, secure storage for chemicals, and proper spill containment
  • Surface cleaner and pressure washer on board for the concrete work that gets added to a house wash

We will post an update once it is fully outfitted and running jobs. If you follow us on Facebook, you will see it there first.

What This Truck Will Be Doing

Roof Cleaning And House Washing

The wrap features roof cleaning and house washing because those two services fix the problems homeowners around here notice most.

  • Roof cleaning removes the black streaks on asphalt shingles. Those streaks are a type of algae called Gloeocapsa magma, and it feeds on the limestone filler in the shingles. We use a soft wash process that kills it at the root instead of blasting shingles with pressure.
  • House washing takes the green and gray film off siding, soffit, and gutters. Low pressure, the right cleaning solution, and a careful rinse. No etched vinyl and no water forced behind the siding.

If you want to see what else we handle, the full list lives on our services page, and homeowners who want it done on a schedule can look at the Green Pro Clean Club.

Where To Look For It

You Will Know Us When We Pull Up

Plenty of homeowners have told us they get nervous when an unmarked truck shows up for a quote. Fair enough. A marked truck removes the guesswork. When Green Pro shows up, you will see our name, our colors, and our phone number before we ever reach your door.

We run Kankakee, Bourbonnais, Bradley, Manteno, Limestone, and St. Anne, and we head north into Will County for Frankfort, New Lenox, Mokena, and Orland Park. Wave us down if you see the truck. We do not mind talking about your roof.

Thank You

Two Shops Worth Recommending

We are a small local company and we know what it feels like when somebody puts your name in front of their customers. So here it is. Prolific Brand Design nailed the artwork and Fastlane Wraps nailed the install. If you run a service business and you have been thinking about wrapping your truck, talk to both of them.

Now we finish the build out and get this thing to work. Watch for it in your neighborhood.

Common Questions

Truck Wrap Questions We Get Asked

Yes. The rear glass uses perforated window film, which is printed vinyl full of small holes. From outside you read WE WASH HOUSES. From the driver seat you see through it, similar to looking through a screen door.

Prolific Brand Design created the artwork and Fastlane Wraps performed the installation. We handled color direction and messaging, and they handled everything else.

On healthy factory paint, no. Quality vinyl actually shields the paint from sun and road grit. The risk shows up on paint that is already peeling or previously repainted, which is why a good installer inspects the panels before quoting the job.

The wrap is finished and the soft wash build out is next. Once the tank, pump, and hose reel are installed, the truck goes into the regular roof cleaning and house washing rotation across Kankakee County and southern Will County.

No. We measure most properties by satellite imagery and send a written quote the same day. Call (815) 650-0397 or request an estimate online and we will get you a number without scheduling a visit.
